So… My week may have started out rougher than I would have liked… Do you know how hard it is trying to piece together DVD covers when the original cover is all dark and black? Even worse when there’s some shiny lettering on that, and it took tearing the box apart before I could copy it and make something just under my “good enough” standards… Not proud or particularly pleased, but super glad it is complete and hopefully it won’t come back that I missed anything. Add to this the part where, in the other tasks of my library job, I was writing/typing both 2017 and 2018 dates, and thoroughly confusing the bejeebus out of myself.
It’s really a wonder that I make it home sometimes… It’s only 8 days into the new year, and I already need a vacation because of zombie-ism. Who else isn’t up to the normal routine yet? Who else would like to add another month to the calendar that is totally devoted to hibernation? I could go for a week’s sleep about now…
Instead, it is Music Monday, and I have a few perfect ones for my mood… as always, all rights and such belong to the rightful owners, I am merely a fan to whom the music speaks today.
The Easybeats: Friday on My Mind
The one my brain is both screaming out for, and metaphorically holding a lighter up to (imagine if that was real? Burned hair for sure, but might also explain mush brain days?) Also need to say a little Happy Birthday Bowie, may the man have peace, and the music live on forever… Queen & David Bowie – Under Pressure
Here’s a sneak peek at tomorrow’s playlist while I write, a little song from the King Creole film. Elvis Presley – Trouble
And a bonus Birthday song, because the King and Bowie share a birthday, plus I rather like the odd way this song works. Sure would love a serenade of my own… *Drifts off, writing ideas that turn into stories… until next time*
