Trying to keep the #ProgressReport to once a week. Let’s hope I remember, because it has been busier than usual around here!
Study Hall… usually the place I would #research #publishing things, get some #writing done… not this year. Even if I sat in the room to watch for an hour, there were too many questions! I’m all for a good #GrapesOfWrath and #GreatGatsby conversation or question, but that’s not what I have been getting this year.
I get things like “Do you have forks?”
… in a #library, where generally it’s for #books not #food… Or way too many were confused about privileges. When it’s closing time, and your option is a room near the exit or out altogether, you can not make up the option of a table outside said room or “can I go upstairs?” Nope, you just came from up there, it’s now dark. Please see the options available to you.
Or my favorite…
me trying to stop a girl before she gets too far from her ride and finds out the hard way- “I’m sorry, the library is closed.”
her- “But the conference room is open until 10” (not the first day of late study hall by the way)
m- “Yes, but that is only if you were already in the library. It’s said all week that the library closes at 9, study hall at 10.”
h- “Can’t I just sneak in?”
So that’s about where all my energy has gone, between more job hours, and a general worry about the next generation… Less writing time than I would have liked.
But the #dream is a #journey not a hop skip jump. So, there was some progress, and that’s still a good thing. February looks very promising, so long as sleep becomes a better part of my routine.
Wishing you all a great day, writing or otherwise!
