Working my way back to normal, but you have to start somewhere. And maybe with a new trick or two…
So without further ado, our October game board. The daily prompts always post at 12:05AM ET, on Twitter. Catch my feed if you missed one. And the new trick? All the question/tweets in writing! Right here, in one place, no waiting for day of to understand our questions. You know, in case you don’t love the spiders. After all, it wouldn’t be Characters Hell if we were cute and fluffy. A month of Darkness, Criminal Intent, Fights, and the sin of Greed await us all. Anyone else excited for evil?
The Underworld (Week 1) #UnderWorldWeek
1- Intro your WIP as a Tales from the Crypt intro!
Hello boils and ghouls! Whether you remember the punny show, or just use this at face value, give us your best scary intro!
2- We read your answers, and noted a topic we didn’t quite dive into. So, what better month to jump into the seedy underbelly, the dark night, the best bits of hell?
What’s the most common weaponry in your WIP world?

Because funds, or lack thereof, can predict the future lives of your characters…
4- A simpler truth, we can not find. #Greed can lead to a life of crime.
What are the crime stats in your WIP?
5- Is there corruption in your world’s justice system? Who does it favor?
You just gotta know the right people or wear the right outfit, and passes happen…
6- Order, order in the court! Or is a bat signal more your way?
How is justice carried out? If at all…
7- How dangerous is it after nightfall?
We’d like to know if we should even be out this late…

8- We’re in random relationships again, so anything and anyone goes!
Murder? Violence? X rated kinks that would make us blush?
What’s the darkest thing to happen between two characters?
9- How about the most violent thing to happen?
Because sometimes dark and violent go hand and hand, but it’s not like they are mutually exclusive or anything.

This was posed to the Antags, but in a random relationship week, it can apply to any and all, can’t it?
11- Any traumatized characters?
Not only who is the character traumatized, but also the character that caused it.
12- Having a need for things, wealth, even people’s secrets can sometimes make everyday relationships harder.
Does Greed affect your character’s relationships?
13- Any monsters coming out?
It’s a Full Moon day! Werewolves and the like aren’t the only creatures affected by things like full moons…
14- In a month known for all the darker angles, we had to ask a classic… You know the one about feelings for one parent and hatred towards another.
Does anyone have an Oedipus complex?

15- What are some character’s darkest desires?
Greedy hearts, criminal intentions, red rages… Each character has that dark spot in them, what does it desire?
16- There are people that have society in their bones, and then there are people who didn’t take to that type of brain washing and do things against norms.

Pick a character’s job and tell us what the assumptions and stereotypes are!
18- Brutalization, exploitation, violation…We asked about the type of person who might do these things. Today we wonder if that is you, Author.
Have you written anything so disturbing or shocking to a future reader?
19- How graphic does the writing get?
Grabbing the thing and putting it you know where vs a knife’s sharp edge slicing through skin, lasserating to the bone, in slow precision to the screams of agony.

21- Horror Film roles! Who is who?
You’ve seen them before- the survivor, the first to be killed off, the killer themselves, even unexpected plot twist accomplices… Tell us where your characters fall if this were a horror film!
Possession Week (Week 4) #PosessionWeek
22- A character of your choice just appeared to you, bloody hands, maybe holding an object. What did they just do? What is the object? How did this all happen?
Character’s mystery situation! Game of Clue style… How’d it happen?
23- Character Action scene. What do they do?
Again, pick a character, but this time, the character is in danger! A look of greedy or malicious intent in the intruders eyes… Someone’s following them… Do they run or hide? Fight or talk it out? And who would want to potentially cause deadly harm? How?

For this possession, let’s pick a shy character and make them work a customer service job. Or the social butterfly is now an isolated cubicle bee. Tell us about it!

A need to possess comes over a character, making them a greedy monster in the making. What do they have a need to possess? Would it consume them or would they fight off the possession?
