One of the reasons this series took years, and feels lived in is because my characters came to their own lives. I don’t force them to follow a model or fit in a beat sheet writing form. They live in my head and talk like real people. They do things that do and don’t get noticed.
Like when Tweety talked about dressing up like a pin up girl for a Halloween costume, and she notes Woods’ look, likens it to something from a movie. But on reread? Our first book boyfriend low key couple costumed them together. Which is very cutesy for the Rock and Roller…
