Thoughtful Thursday Memories

I’ve been thinking about memories, the things that are worth keeping long after the day or the item involved.

I recall some books I read where the story memories or the events of that day still stick with me like I lived it, I love when a book makes you laugh or cry alongside the characters living it on the page. I love needing a minute to process a scene in a book that hits just right, while also not being able to stop reading. Memorable characters make memorable everything else. I can recall a Lynsay Sands book with a scene about holding a dress together because the guy didn’t mention where her dress was so she made do and he guided her by the bunched up bit of dress. I can think of authors I read regularly because it’s not the character exactly but the way the author writes characters that stick to you and make you feel like you’re part of that world for that book. But I also love the heart ache. The pain of being a real person in a period of time existing, sharing that flavor and color to the perspective. Anything that makes a memory feel real and lived in.
