Pining For A Tender Tuesday

In a week we discuss the weight of feelings, today’s question is simple but heavy.

What kind of pining weighs more on you? Who do you feel for the most?

The person who left for honorable reasons like career, timing, protecting you from their mess. They loved you enough to walk away so you could be happy.

Or the person who stayed and waited, watching from a distance, never pushing, just there, hoping someday their feelings would be noticed.

Both hurt in the weight of love or crushes. But which one weighs in your heart harder?

In my work? You have a bit of both. Tweety is your “I’m going to stay right here, and you’ll always know
where to find me.” gal. Though, staying put made her career what it is today.

But our leaver? Woods? He thought “she didn’t show up, so I guess this new life of mine is too much for her, and I can’t stop now. But I can watch for her at every show, in case she changes her mind…”

Of course, the difference in those mindsets? That’s a second chance romance waiting to be written, right?

So, what do you guys like and why? Oh and, I can write both, but I identify with the ones who wait quietly. Something about patience and persistence, and being a shy person in general, that makes me feel connected to the story.
