Admiration can be a foundation. As simple as I admire this trait, and I want to get to know this person better. That’s how you move admiration from secret to potentially something more. But first, it all has to start somewhere. That somewhere isn’t physical. Handsome or pretty don’t last that long. A quirk or a charm, even a wit last longer. Because that’s the stuff that makes you more curious, more interested. Looks can transfer from person to person. That deeper something makes it matter, makes it feel like you’re understood, not just wanted for a body shape.

But of course, being a lady of mind, I very much appreciate intelligence.
