All March long, there’s been this Madness to the plot, whether it came as spring fever or impulses. What better way to end this month and roll into a week that has April Fools day than to finish foolish?
Our first song is an odd little tune, with a double fitting theme. The song? About madness, the video is too. The singers? The band is literally called Madness, and they have a supply of odd but good songs in their name. I had a few options here, but of course, nothing really screams March Madness like madness said enough to feel like a version of the tequila song, right?
Madness – Madness
With this song, it’s more a foolish video, but if you’ve been reading this month, and you saw some of our characters? This video feels like a possible version of how that Nira/Bebe thing started. No one really knows that lore. But also, the song itself is fun and foolish, in that stuck like glue way.
Stuck Like Glue – Sugarland
A little on the nose? Sure, but there’s foolish outlandish, and then there’s foolish ignorance. One’s wild, the other is a how did that happen backtracking through moments, because you flowed and did a thing. Like missing a bus stop but you know, for your heart.
Fooled Around And Fell In Love – Elvin Bishop
When foolish and love mix together, this song hits all those notes. From the start with that let me do something foolish and hope, straight through all those this is my love language lyrics that are so relatable. Who settles for easy when there’s those stories that prove love deep enough means you can’t sleep and can’t eat no one can talk sense into your foolishness until all becomes right in your world.
I Want Crazy – Hunter Hayes
This one hits like when you realize that you are being foolish and you know it. You might change your path now that you know, but it’s just such a good song that fits foolish in an unexpected way. And it’s a great teaser for the April themes, if this song rolled into our next playlist…
