Sometimes… The heat makes you do stuff you wouldn’t do in the winter months when your head was cooler. So, what are some of your wilder moments made of? As I write, I enjoy thinking about both the hot quick regret it in the morning moments, and the ones that you know will stick with you in some life changing way.

First up we have the very definition of a “made me do it” excuse, the heat of the moment itself. My favorite line that catches quite a bit in such a short line is “incidents arose from circumstance”. Emotions and actions don’t come from sitting still waiting, they come from something leading to something else. That’s where the story comes from, good or bad.

Had to throw in one of the summer songs I remember from growing up with it… Granted it had all that extra story in it, that doesn’t make sense, but it talked about meeting someone one summer, and not seeing them again, even when they wanted to. In a way, it feels like under the catchy fun lyrics, there’s a missed the moment not taken kind of thing.

Another song from a movie, this is probably one of the more iconic summer songs, filled with the kind of moments that feel like falling in love over moments you said yes to, like learning to drive together, or redefining summer flings.
